Ashley Ervin Abaray is originally from Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa in 2012. She then moved to Louisville and graduated from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 2015. Ashley began working for a local personal injury firm in 2013 during her first summer in law school and continued her practice there after she graduated. Thus, from the very beginning of her legal career, she always represented people, never corporations. She joined Thomas Law Offices in May of 2024. Her practice focuses on helping those who have been injured in work accidents, car wrecks, slip and falls, and civil rights violations, including jail misconduct and police brutality. She has tried several cases to jury verdict and has settled hundreds of cases for injured Kentuckians.

David Barber began trying cases to Kentucky juries immediately after graduating from law school, serving as a prosecutor in Carter County while also working in personal injury and civil litigation. He tried his first case within a week of his admission to practice, and won his first civil verdict in federal court—related to a chemical spill near his hometown of Ashland—within two years. Mr. Barber has tried over 120 cases to Kentucky juries, and has represented clients around the country and the U.S. Virgin Islands with numerous pro hac vice admissions. After working with several plaintiff-oriented law firms, Mr. Barber established his own firm, Barber Law Office, in 2011.

His private practice, The Law Office of Mike Campbell, joined forces with Thomas Law Offices in 2020, and he now heads the firm’s Missouri office. She graduated from Truman State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Justice Systems and a minor in French. Alex graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2022. While in law school, Alex was involved with the Veteran’s Clinic and the Innocence Clinic. After graduation, Alex joined a law firm in Jefferson City, Missouri and practiced insurance defense litigation. She was admitted to the Missouri Bar in September 2022. Alex began working at Thomas Law Offices in September of 2023. Her primary area of practice is civil litigation.

Alex Ernst grew up in southeastern Ohio and went on to study English and writing at Morehead State University. While at Morehead, Alex volunteered with the Welcome House of Northern Kentucky assisting people struggling with disabilities and homelessness to get social security benefits. Alex worked fulltime while attending law school at Chase College of Law and received his J.D. in 2017. After graduating, Alex joined a personal injury firm in Cincinnati, devoting 100% of his time to representing people injured as a result of automobile/trucking accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, and defective products. He was admitted to the Ohio Bar in November 2018. Alex joined Thomas Law Offices in December 2023 where he continues to devote to represent injured people with compassion and dedication.

He attended Jefferson Community and Technical College and received his associate degree in 2017. Nick then attended the University of Kentucky for his bachelor’s degree, majoring in Political Science and graduating magna cum laude with departmental honors in 2019. Finally, Nick attended the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2023 and was an editor of the University of Louisville Law Review and a student-teacher for the Central High School Law Partnership. Eric Kiser is a native of West Tennessee and West Kentucky. While attending the University of Louisville as a McConnell Scholar, he double-majored in Political Science and History. Mr. Kiser is a 2015 graduate of the Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, VA. He earned his juris doctor while serving as an Honor Advocate within the school’s honor system, and he clerked for the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office and a Virginia State Court judge during law school.

Lindsy Lopez serves as Thomas Law Offices’ General Counsel while also establishing the firm’s Des Moines, Iowa office where she relocated to be closer to family. Lindsy Lopez attended Iowa State University with a double major in Political Science/International studies and a minor in music before going on to graduate from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2009. During law school, she served as the Senior Managing Editor of the Iowa Law Review, as well as a clerk with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota. Mrs. Lopez graduated with honors and was a recipient of the Boyd Service Award for her commitment to public service during law school.

After graduating with honors from law school at Northern Kentucky University, Tad Thomas opened his own practice in Louisville. He quickly gravitated to the area of personal injury and civil litigation, an area where he could assist clients in their time of need. Seven years later Mr. Thomas was given the honor of being invited to assist Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway and leading the Civil and Environmental Division of the Attorney General's Office. Only a few months later he was promoted to one of two Assistant Deputy Attorneys General and was given the responsibility of overseeing four divisions and all of the office's civil litigation. These four divisions consisted of over 100 personnel including lawyers, staff and sworn law enforcement officers.

James Nicholas "Nick" Thompson was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, and is a 2006 graduate of St. Xavier High School. He attended Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and swam competitively on the Colonel’s Swimming and Diving Team.
